Damon braces use a sliding mechanism to hold the archwire, reducing the amount of pressure exerted on the teeth and allowing the teeth to move or slide more freely, quickly, and comfortably. A World Without Elastic Ties!

With the Damon System, the need for elastic or metal “ties” is eliminated.  Damon braces are “tieless” or “self-ligating” braces that use a specialized clip in place of elastics to help the archwire guide teeth into place. These clips help reduce the amount of pressure and friction being placed on the teeth and require fewer adjustments because there are no elastics to replace.  This means you can experience orthodontic treatment without getting your braces “tightened”.
