Damon braces use a sliding mechanism to hold the archwire, reducing the amount of pressure exerted on the teeth and allowing the teeth to move or slide more freely, quickly, and comfortably. A World Without Elastic Ties!

With the Damon System, the need for elastic or metal “ties” is eliminated.  Damon braces are “tieless” or “self-ligating” braces that use a specialized clip in place of elastics to help the archwire guide teeth into place. These clips help reduce the amount of pressure and friction being placed on the teeth and require fewer adjustments because there are no elastics to replace.  This means you can experience orthodontic treatment without getting your braces “tightened”.

While clear aligners can be effective for most orthodontic treatment, there are some cases that Damon braces simply treat more efficiently. Damon braces work 24 hours a day, seven days a week to perfectly align all teeth for a phenomenal smile that enhances your entire facial appearance.

Another benefit: No need to worry about lost, misplaced or forgotten aligners, which means you get in and out of treatment quickly.

Even though the Damon System works so quickly, the use of gentle, low-friction force means more comfort for you. Very light “shape memory” titanium wires are used to gently guide your teeth to their ideal position.
